When the OTRII pandemonium began I was frantic like everyone else trying to get tickets to the MetLife show on 8/2/18. The only other option to avoid paying $300/per ticket for whatever seat I could find was to consider going to a show in another state.
I had never really spent any memorable amount of time in Mass. besides maybe a couple basketball tournaments and Omar has never seen the Great Beyonce in action and I felt the need to make this happen.
Enter the Boston idea.
I researched a bit to realize that the tickets were a good $40-60 cheaper at Gillette stadium and for a penny pincher like me, that was a solid amount to save. My sister Mel, Loren and YaYa all decided to tag along as well and I figured we could make a day of it.
Looking through museums in Boston I came across one with this gorgeous courtyard and rich history. A once in a lifetime robbery was committed here and there was still a pending reward for the missing art pieces. (I am a geek, yes)
We head to the stadium and I see a lane of flashing lights behind me. I murmur "that looks like it could be Hov + Bey's motorcade" as they get right behind me I look in my rear view mirror to see none other than Julius (Beyonce's head security guard) in the front seat of the Mercedes Sprinter van.
GASP!
This is not my first encounter with ridiculous closeness to the Carter's ... but more on that another time.
We arrive to the stadium, it is steaming hot still, and we are starving so we put our name on the list at CBS Sports Bar. Everywhere is packed and I was walking around forever so I legit was dripping sweat. Omar snuck me into the bar (I forgot my ID) and we ordered a drink and food at the bar.
Then our table was ready.
We sit and I look up from the booth and I see a familiar white man's face. It didn't register immediately but I knew the face was familiar.
I've seen him with Meek Mill, Gucci Mane...yes, Mr. Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriot sat at the table next to us and even came over for some photos and conversations!
So now comes the time we have alllll been waiting for...

Jay-Z and Beyonce...THE CARTERS...man! I've seen Jay-Z in concert before but I never had the Beyonce experience and seeing as though they're both two of our favorite artists, this was music heaven for Sam and I. The show was nothing short of amazing. I don't care what anyone else's opinions are/were, together The Carters are unmatched musically and creatively, especially as an item. You can see how much good they bring out of eachother right there in the arena...pardon me, right there in that sold out professional football stadium. Like I said, I have seen Hov in concert and he may have bopped his head but that was nothing in comparison to the energy that he had while sharing the stage with his wife and of course she didn't't disappoint. All in all, we had a great time. Sam did her research and we made a day of it, creating more memories together and spending time with our some of our closest. The museum was dope, the food was good, there was no traffic (lol) and the show was definitely an experience we'll never forget!
