Omar's Vows:

From the moment I saw you I knew that I wanted to get to know you. I even told you that I loved you in 2009 before we got together in 2012. I spent years before we finally connected trying to find my way in but I guess the universe had other plans. Looking back, I feel like this, today, has always been our fate as we crossed paths so many times prior, shared mutual friends, attended the same events and such but I guess the timing was off. I guess I had more growing to do, we had more growing to do. However, when the opportunity finally presented itself we got lifted and we haven’t come down. I often tell those who ask for advice or insight that I have none I tell them that this is that too good to be true, nostalgic feel and I’m not sure if anyone would understand how we just flow. I mean if I had to brief them I guess I’d say love requires time, transparency, teamwork and as cliche as it may sound, communication. It’s just easy with you. If I’m Bron then you’re my DWade, my Pippen if I’m 23 and hell I’ve learned to let you run the point if necessary, I’ve learned how important it is to let you be Jordan at times. It also helps that we have so much love around us and that we are so much alike. (We have) our parents as an example, our friends and family as a support system. I mean sure at times we clash, sure every day isn’t sunny, sure you never know what you want to eat but we value us so much, we value each other so much, we understand what it takes to win, that we make love look effortless. I love you more than I love myself, I’d give anything to see you happy and I’m grateful that you allowed me to love you. Thank you for being you, thanks for loving me, thank you for the motivation, the reassurance, thanks for bringing more light to my world.


Today I make a promise to stay by your side in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow as well as through good times and challenging times. I promise to love you unconditionally without reservation. I promise to comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve your goals, laugh with you, cry with you. The plan is to grow with you in mind and in spirit. To be open, to be faithful and honest and to cherish you for as long as we live.
